QHSE Coordinator

About The Role

Reporting to the Director, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment, you will support and the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. As an integral member of the team, we are looking for someone to work closely with project managers, site superintendents, and field staff to promote a strong culture of safety, maintain quality control documentation, and support regulatory compliance across all projects.

As the QHSE Coordinator, you will:

  • Support implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, hazard assessments, and quality verifications.
  • Track findings, corrective actions, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assist with incident investigations and prepare reports and corrective action plans.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding and safety orientation for new employees and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and best practices among project teams.
  • Support waste diversion, recycling, and environmental management on project sites.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QHSE program.
  • Work to be performed between 10% office environments and 90% active construction sites.
  • Regular travel to project sites will be required.
  • Exposure to typical construction site conditions including noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders, and uneven terrain will be required.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field is an asset.
  • CRSP designation is an asset
  • Experience working in commercial construction or industrial environments preferred.
  • Experience using Procore project management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Safety certifications preferred (such as First Aid, WHMIS, Working at Heights, etc.).
